Matt, VSI’s most tenured Physician Assistant, helps patients navigate the intricate path toward regaining their quality of life. He serves as a crucial support for our spine surgeons during office visits and follow-up care.

Matt’s journey into healthcare began with a year as a Physician Assistant at a family practice/pediatrics group, laying a foundation of diverse medical experience. It was his dedication to the intricacies of spinal health that led him to pursue a one-year residency and one-year fellowship in the medical and surgical management of spinal disorders.

Armed with a wealth of knowledge and experience, Matt is not only certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants but is also equipped with Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certifications. Licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine, he is committed to providing the highest standards of care to our patients.

Beyond the professional realm, Matt’s roots trace back to central Pennsylvania, where he is an avid Steelers fan! Fond memories include his time working at Bonfatto’s Sub Shop, showcasing his culinary skills in crafting a mean Italian sub. This blend of professional expertise and personal touch makes Matt an invaluable asset to our team.
