$In this video, Dr. Christopher Good, one of the nation's leading spine surgeons at VSI, “dives” into a compelling case study of a young athlete named Mateo, who avoided back surgery and was able to get back to diving at a Division 1 level. Stress fractures in the back, also known as spondylolysis, are an extremely common injury for teenage athletes, affecting about 5-6% of young athletes.
