As sports pick up this fall, so do sports injuries. Back injuries are among the most common, whether you’re a committed and competitive athlete, a weekend warrior, or have a student athlete in your family.
Each year there are more than 5 million sports injuries at the high school level, with football injuries being the most common. But injury rates are increasing in many other sports as well — including competitive cheer, soccer, wrestling, pickleball, and even for those training for 5Ks, halves, and full marathons.
Dr. Colin Haines, a Spine Surgeon and avid pickleball player, is sharing his tips for how to keep the athletes in your life healthy.
